EUT Upsizing Example
Japan Electric Meters Inspection Corporation
Inforce unified the plurality of Access files, realizing an improved system through Upsizing
The Japan Electric Meters Inspection Corporation (JEMIC) is the authority for electric meters in Japan, and is responsible for carrying out inspection of various architectural facilities nationwide. Inforce assisted JEMIC in developing a system where dual Access files created in or outside of the office can be used for creating progress reports, service receipts and customer information management files related to inspection.
● Improving the Prior System
”We originally came to Inforce to assist us in revitalizing the system created by another IT engineering company, even though it was still in operation and performing most of its’ tasks dutifully, with the thought that it would be difficult to find a specialist who could upgrade it. Inforce was chosen because of their reputation in the field, their experience with Access development reliability as a long-term partner.
As we experienced difficulty in finding ways to make it possible for joint ownership sharing of data, due to the decrease in system performance while doing so, it was believed that this was a weak point of the Access system itself. We therefore needed to find a specialist who could help us to resolve this issue”.
● Provide centralized management of sites in
Inforce investigated the use of conventional Access files thoroughly, as the company required a reduction in the number of branches being used from 11 to 7 this year. The possibility of reducing a database system by Upsizing the client server system dually, allows for the referral to past data from a database that has been shut down. Therefore, with the necessity clear, JEMIC contacted Inforce to assist them with the introduction of a full-scale system for implementation in 2008.
Inforce performed duties such as the procurement of the hardware, sale of a SQL Server and the establishment of network infrastructure. They created an Upsizing system from start to finish, all in-house, and without the need for any outside vendors.
The system was introduced at the end of March, 2008, and the management of data which was not possible before, become smooth through the new network environment, with improved performance, security, and the reinforcement of a stable backup system.
● The creation of a superior system through Upsizing.
As professionals in the field of Upsizing, the creation of integrated systems is possible by Inforce as experts with the knowhow to conceive an improved system that provides better efficiency and better visitor experience.
Although there is the possibility of problems occurring in the creation of any new network system, Inforce will work diligently to perform a satisfactory and cost effective system result, guaranteeing that customer requests are adhered to and that the end product will outperform its predecessor.
Changing a network to a SQLServer through Upsizing, is a choice that may become the preferred one in the mainstream, as a method for the development of lead systems.
